Please note that ITEP Travel group only accepts customers who are in accordance with our terms and conditions, so when you click on the following, you fully accept our terms and conditions. ITEP travel group, understands that you agree with these contract conditions. ITEP Travel Group is not responsible if you did not have the time or do not pay the due importance in these terms, conditions and supplements. This may be used as evidence to prove to authorities or others whom we deem necessary; We have been clear since long before you start a trip confirmation with ITEP Travel Group. Only with the sole purpose of being able to face any complaint you have.

If you do not agree with our terms and conditions. ITEP travel is not in the possibility of providing tourist services and will not be able to prepare individual conditions; since these are applied according to the terms and conditions of other providers such as trains, hotels, income, etc. and apply to all our groups, whether in group service or in private.



I/We, making full use of my/Our faculties and in representation as a leader in the reservation of this Trekking, Tour or tourist circuit; I sign this letter which is valid for me and everyone I represent.

I /We understand that adventure tour involves certain dangers and risks that can occur on trails, roads, rivers and lakes.

I/We agree that THE TOUR OPERATOR, the local provider in charge of this service, shall not be held responsible for any delays or changes in itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, accidents, injuries, illness, death, damages, losses or acts of nature as it is necessary to ensure the absolute safety and the best interests of our customers. THE TOUR OPERATOR reserves the right to modify or withdraw any travel arrangement when necessary in the interests of the customers.

ITEP Travel Group. - reserves the right to refuse to continue to serve any customer or customers causing inconvenience or annoyance to other customers or creating difficulties that would hamper the smooth operation of the tour. Furthermore, ITEP Travel Group cannot be held responsible for any belongings that are lost, or left in vehicles and accommodation.


I am/We are voluntary participant(s) in these activities, I/We understand that during the course of the tour, certain risks and dangers may occur, including, but not limited to the hazards of traveling in mountainous terrain, accidents or illness in remote places without medical facilities and the forces of nature.

I /We agree to assume all risks associated with the tour and agree that ITEP Travel Group. Its employees or agents will not be held reliable in respect to death, injuries or illness, for any loss or damage to my property. Also, I agree to respect the wildlife that dwells in the areas we will be visiting and respect the customs of the local people in terms of preservation and conservation of the natural habitat in the environment. I am obligated to accept the advice that the guide gives me and I agree to behave in the best interest of the safety of the group.


I/We declare that I don’t have any physical or psychological condition or diseases that can affect the rest of the participants during this tour. I also agree to follow the instructions of the guide given in the briefing. Finally, after reading this document and the briefing from the tour guide, we accept that we received the complete and principle information about the tour. Please, inform us the following request:

1.- Are you allergic to medicines or any food? If Yes, please let us know

2.- Are you vegetarian? If Yes, please let us know

3.- Other condition.




ITEP Travel informs you that the cost of all ITEP TRAVEL trips have been based in real cost of providers and third parties of the tourism industry plus a minimum commission for our work, that is maximized in the organization of a group departure as a Tour Operator in the destiny. However, many of these tourist providers such as trains, hotels, income, etc; they have their own conditions and which vary between them. Therefore, ITEP Travel cannot assume the responsibilities of necessary suppliers in the organization of a travel itinerary. A clear example of this is the confirmation of entry to the trekking along the Machupicchu Santuary park which incurs a 100% loss of the ticket if it is not taken and it is completely forbidden to resell the ticket.

Our Customers assume all Liability and assume of all risks that can that can happen as a result of the same trip booked and confirmed.

ITEP Travel is willing to give all the necessary information about the trips in interest; however, you are advised to make the necessary tour inquiries requested by all possible channels outside of this company.

Therefore, as lawful consideration for being permitted to participate in such as travel activities


I agree this release shall be legally binding upon myself, all minors under the age of 18 travelling with me, all members of my family, my and their heirs, successors, assigns, and legal representatives, it being my intention to full assume all the risks of travel associated with this trip and to release ITEP TRAVEL of and from any and all liabilities to the maximum extent permitted by law.



The terms and conditions set forth below (the “Terms”) constitute the entire understanding and agreement between ITEP TRAVEL GROUP (“ITEP,” “we,” or “our”) and the customer (the “Customer” or “you”) with respect to any and all bookings, trips or transactions made with ITEP TRAVEL GROUP.

You and We understand ITEP TRAVEL GROUP is owner of the following Brands “Inka Tail Expeditions Perú, Salkantay Trek Expeditions Perú, Imperios Travel, Lima Travel V.I.P, Lodge del Cielo, Hotel Encanto Machupicchu”, owners, directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents and affiliates in this travel company.


The Customer must at all times comply with the laws and respect the social norms of the country being visited as well as with all government regulations pertaining to customs, drugs and foreign exchange. At all times the decision of ITEP TRAVEL tour leader or representative is final on all matters that may threaten the safety, or interfere with the wellbeing, of the group or individual Customers. Should the Customer fail to comply with this section, or should the Customer interfere with the wellbeing of the group or individual Customers, ITEP TRAVEL tour leader or representative may order the Customer to leave the tour without recourse to any refund.


The Customer must obtain and have possession of a valid passport (PASSPORT MUST BE VALID AT LEAST 185 DAYS FROM DEPARTURE DATE), all visas, permits and certificates, and vaccination certificates, required for the entire tour. The Customer accepts responsibility for obtaining these documents and any other necessary documents. Information or advice given by ITEP TRAVEL on visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment, etc., is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of ITEP TRAVEL and the Customer expressly waives any claim that ITEP TRAVEL is liable for damages arising from such information or advice.

To reserve a space on any trip or service with ITEP TRAVEL Group, each Customer must submit:

A completed personal information of all travelers.

Full name, as in your currently passport, Passport number, Nationality, Age, Sex, Confirm if you are Adult or Student, Students apply only those under 24 years old “with ISIC Card International Student Isic Card”, Confirm trip and departure date, Inform us about meals remarks “vegetarian, began, or any allergies,”, Type of room, And that information your travel agent or our representative will request of you.


To begin your reservation a down payment is required by person- non-refundable- see, Cancellation by Customer.

a.- Trekking: USD 300 per person pre-payment.

b.- Circuits and Tours with or without trekking: 50% of Total.

You can make a pre-pay by (paid by credit card, pay online, pre-pay by western union, money gram, in 61 or more days in advance of the trip).

Before this day the full payment should be made, for ensure the correct development of your tour.

To know: The balance of the Trip (the “Balance”) is due as a maximum 05 days prior to departure.

Payment of the balance can be made by: Credit Card (Visa, Master card, American Express), Personal / Cashier’s Check, Money Order.

If the Balance is not paid in full, ITEP TRAVEL GROUP reserves the right to treat the reservation as canceled. No one will be allowed to depart on a trip unless all payments and required documents have been received by ITEP TRAVEL GROUP.


All accommodations (hotels, boats, tents, etc.) are based on double occupancy. We will try to find roommates for single travelers willing to share accommodation. If this is not feasible or if you prefer single accommodation, you will be assessed the Single Supplement charge listed for the itinerary.


a- “Trekking” Changes once a trip confirmation was made and confirmed incurs a loss of (US$ 300.00) -Non-refundable Booking fee.

b- “Tours and Circuits with or without Trekking’s” Changes once a trip confirmation was made and confirmed incurs a loss of (50%) -Non-refundable Booking fee.


Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable by ITEP TRAVEL for the comfort and well-being of the Customers because of unforeseen circumstances or because of circumstances beyond the control of ITEP TRAVEL. If any such change is made prior to the time your pre-payment will be Paid; The Customer will be told of the change at the time of booking. If the change is made thereafter, ITEP TRAVEL will inform the Customer as soon as is reasonably possible.

Cancellations by the Customer made as a result of any such change shall be subject to the provisions of the services providers such as the Train Companies’, Entrance fees, etc.

ITEP TRAVEL shall not be liable for any damages arising from or related to any such change and the Customer waives the right to assert a claim for such damages against ITEP TRAVEL.



For 1,2,3,4,5 or more days in trekking options. Such as: Inca Trail Trek, Salkantay Trek or other Treks to Machupicchu, Tours by Train to Machupicchu, -Group or Private Service,

2.a- Cancellation of tour once a trip confirmation was made and confirmed incurs a loss of (US$ 300.00) -Non-refundable Booking fee.

2.b- Cancellation of tour within 90 Days to 45 Days of departure incurs a loss of 80% of total cost

2.c- Cancellation of tour within 44 Days to 35 Days of departure incurs a loss of 90% of total cost

2.d- Cancellation of tour within 34 Days to 72 hours of departure incurs a TOTAL loss of cost.

(Please note according Machupicchu regulation permits for Inca Trail, Salkantay trek and other treks hike are prohibited to re-sell your spot after you have cancelled and we need to cover other expenses for this tour when you cancel. Example if you decide to cancel, we cannot pay less than the regular to our porters/Sherpas because just you decide to don´t continue with this tour, no matter what the reason is).


For Package tours with and without Inca Trail trek, Salkantay Trek or other Treks to Machupicchu, Packages tours with Machupicchu, Jungle Trips, Extension Tours. (Hotels, Jungle Lodges apply No-Show in case of cancellation and they require a full payment in advance made before clients arrive.)

3.a- Cancellation of tour once a trip confirmation was made and confirmed incurs a loss of (US$ 500.00) -Non-refundable Booking fee.

3.b- Cancellation of tour within 90 Days to 45 Days of departure incurs a loss of 80% of total cost

3.c- Cancellation of tour within 44 Days to 35 Days of departure incurs a loss of 90% of total cost

3.d- Cancellation of tour within 34 Days to 72 hours of departure incurs a TOTAL loss of the tour.


If within your confirmed tour reservation date to 45 days before your Trip, you find it necessary to cancel your confirmed tour reservation, you may transfer your space to another suitable person (This Policy don´t apply for our Classic Inca Trail to Machupicchu, Salkantay Trek or other Treks, where is not possible transfer your space to another suitable person), the cancellation of your reservation will become effective upon receipt by us of your written notification via email.

Administrative charge for this formal change is (10% of your prepaid per person).

Transfer to another person before 45 days prior to your trip is not possible.


3.1.- You must advise ITEP Travel staff of any medical problems or allergies. You need to be in good physical health and if your health is questionable, then you should consult a doctor for high altitude trekking. If you are over the age of 69, then you will need to present us with a current medical certificate, letter (only for hiking tours as: Classic 4 Day Inca Trail, Salkantay, Lares, Choquequirao, Auzangate hikes). Tours by train, Extension tours, jungle Trips, Packages without hikes, Jungle trips not required.

3.2.- You must advise your guide if you wish to leave the group or the camping area for independent walks or sightseeing. If you are experiencing any problems with the service of the guide or tour please advise the guide in that moment so he can resolve any problems as soon as possible.

3.3.- You must carry your original passport and valid ISIC student card (if applicable and confirmed) on the trail, and Machupicchu tour. If you do not take the correct original passport as indicated in your permit, the control will annul your permit and refuse you entrance to the trail or new fee will be required to pay by you.(If you have booked as student and you do not have a ISIC card, the only way to validate your permit is paying a new Adult fee.) If for any reason, you organize a new passport after we have purchased your permits, you must send us by email a color copy of your new passport and bring the old passport with you, or if this is impossible advise us in writing with a scan of the old passport and your new passport for us to present to the INC with official documentation to avoid problems. Administrative charge for this formal change is (US$ 15 per person)

3.4.- Unless you hire an extra shared porter in case of Classic Inca Trail , Salkantay Trek or other Treks you need to carry your back pack, sleeping bag and a mattress (both 3.5 Kg) personal items, clothing and water for Day 1, if you want an extra porter book it in advance or email us.

3.5.- Change of dates is not possible after a trip confirmation was made and confirmed. Permits for Machupicchu and treks to Machupicchu are non-transferable nor refundable Permits. The pre-payment will be forfeited. Please note that we do this because we are prohibited to re-sell your spot after you have cancelled. However, you can use part of the permit for Machupicchu admission in other tour such as a train tours to Machupicchu, if the entrance dates match, etc.

3.6.- Trips and treks to Machupicchu package includes: Train transport return to Cusco is included. The train company only confirm the train schedule option to trekking agencies a few days before a trek for one way ticket from Aguas Calientes in high season dates. The train schedule offered could be anywhere at the afternoon and usually requires a private bus connection from Ollantaytambo to Cusco provided by ITEP Travel.

3.7.- ITEP Travel will take all reasonable care in providing service to our clients to avoid accident, illness, loss of personal property and will only employ suitably qualified staff. We accept responsibility for the actions of our own employees. ITEP Travel cannot however be responsible for any action or event that was unforeseeable or unavoidable. We also cannot be responsible for improper acts by clients or other third party. You are totally responsible for your own personal property and rented equipment.

3.8.- ITEP Travel does not take responsibility for additional costs due to unfavorable weather conditions, natural catastrophe, strikes, accidents, illness, injury, loss of personal items, etc. It is the client’s responsibility to carry a Travel Insurance to cover these types of events. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the program due to any of the unforeseen conditions listed above.

3.9.- In extreme cases when any trek to Machupicchu is declared closed for safety reasons ITEP Travel can replace your trek with an alternative trek to the same destiny, ITEP Travel won´t increase prices.

3.10.-Please note that no reimbursements are given when cancellations occur or for any unused services. ITEP Travel will do everything possible to assure a safe and enjoyable trip but we will not accept any responsibility for damages, injuries, losses, expenses due to delays, for any cause whatsoever, this applies to any person or property in connection with any service we or our intermediaries provide, which result directly or indirectly from acts of God or forces mayor.

3.11 All itineraries are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control including, weather, road or trail conditions and flight schedules.



The Customer is voluntarily participating on the trip with knowledge that travel to foreign countries and/or remote areas visited by this trip involves numerous risks and dangers which the Customer accepts, including, but not limited to: the forces of nature; civil unrest; terrorism; the condition of roads, trails, hotels, vehicles, boats or other means of conveyance which are not operated or maintained to standards common in the United States; high altitude; accident or illness without access to means of rapid evacuation or availability of medical supplies; the adequacy of medical attention once provided; physical exertion for which the Customer is not prepared; consumption of alcoholic beverages; or negligence (but not the willful or fraudulent conduct) on the part of ITEP TRAVEL or those entities with whom ITEP TRAVEL to provide services to the Customer. The Customer acknowledges that the enjoyment and excitement of adventure travel is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work and that these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement and are a reason for the Customer’s voluntary participation.

Once your Travel contract voucher is confirmed you Confirm the following:

“I hereby agree to the above and to be responsible for my own welfare, and accept any and all risks of delay, unanticipated events, illness, injury, emotional trauma or death”.


Travel Insurance. - We strongly recommend that full Travel Insurance is taken, which includes cover, under certain circumstances, against the loss of your prepayment or cancellation charges. Please note that no reimbursements are given when cancellations occur or for any unused services.

Each Guest agrees and warrants that he/she will supervise any Guest in his/her care at all times to ensure all policies, along with all other rules of ITEP Travel, are strictly adhered to by all Guests under their supervision.

The minimum travel age is:

For Trekking and tours with Trekking, 8 years old at the time of the begging in order to start the trip.

For Other Tours with no Trekking, 12 months of age at the time of the begging in order to start the trip.

No Guest under 18 years of age is permitted to book a tour, and any Guest under 18 years of age must travel in a stateroom with a Guest 18 years or older who shall assume responsibility for their care during the trip.

For family groups, the minimum age for at least one person in each stateroom is 16 years of age, provided they are traveling with a parent or legal guardian.

We are unable to accept group reservations for student or youth groups that do not conform to our minimum age requirements.


ITEP TRAVEL assumes no liability for loss or damage to baggage in transit to and from a ITEP TRAVEL trip or while on a ITEP TRAVEL trip.



If a Customer has a claim or complaint against ITEP TRAVEL, the Customer must first inform ITEP TRAVEL of the claim or complaint in writing within five days after the end of the trip. Failure to comply with this requirement waives the Customer’s right to assert any such claim or complaint against ITEP TRAVEL.


you and ITEP Travel agree that any dispute concerning, relating, or referring to this contract, the catalogue, the website, or any other literature or materials concerning my ITEP TRAVEL trip, or the trip itself shall be resolved exclusively by Peruvian binding arbitration.


The Customer agrees that the sole remedy for any default by ITEP TRAVEL arising under the Terms shall be the return of the paid Trip Cost. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, ITEP TRAVEL will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any kind (including for personal injury) regardless of the form of the action, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if ITEP TRAVEL has been advised of the possibility of such damages, and the Customer expressly waives any right it may have to recover such damages.



The Terms contain the entire understanding between the Customer and ITEP TRAVEL in connection with the subject matter of the Terms and it supersedes and replaces all prior negotiations, statements, and representations concerning the subject matter of the Terms except as expressly contained in the Terms.


The Terms may not be amended, altered or modified, except by a written amendment executed by the Customer and ITEP TRAVEL.


It is the intent of the Customer and ITEP TRAVEL that no part of the Terms be construed against any party because of the identity of the drafter.



Tipping is at your discretion, but is always appreciated. If you enjoyed the service. We suggest tipping between $14.5-17.5 dollars a day per traveler. The gratuity applies to individual guests of all ages. As a way to reward our expedition team for their outstanding service, gratuities are shared between our Chef/Cook Porters/Sherpas, Tour Guide and others who work behind the scenes to enhance our Travel experience.

One day before you complete your expedition, you, along with the other visitors, can make a tip bag "command the proportions provided above and which we emphasize are optional and may vary at your own discretion," so that after of this you can distribute it among all the members that participated in your expedition.

In the unlikely event that a guest does not receive satisfactory service, the guest may request to modify the daily amount at their own discretion.

The automatic daily gratuity is based on customary travel industry standards.

We hope you find the gratuity to be an accurate reflection of your satisfaction and thank you for your generous recognition of our staff.


8.1.-It may be necessary for the Company to ask you for certain personal information. Examples of this would be dietary requirements, disability/medical or religious information etc. This information will be kept confidential by the Company and is available to you to inspect during the Company’s normal working hours. It will be passed to the suppliers, if it is necessary for them to know this information in order to fulfill the Company’s contract to you.
